Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Collision Near Truro
A man was left seriously injured following a road traffic collision near Truro on Friday evening.
What Happened
Police were called at 5.35pm on Friday 9 January after a two vehicle collision on an unclassified road near Chacewater, Truro.
The collision involved a blue Kawasaki motorcycle and a white Citroen Relay motorcaravan.
Injuries and Emergency Response
The rider of the motorcycle, a local man in his 30s, suffered serious injuries. His pillion passenger, a local woman, received less serious injuries.
Both were treated at the scene by air ambulance crews before being taken to Treliske Hospital.
The driver of the motorcaravan was not injured.
Road Closure and Investigation
The road was closed for around four hours while officers carried out a full examination of the scene and recovered the motorcycle.
Officers from the Roads Policing Team are now investigating the collision and are appealing for witnesses.
