Neighbourhood Policing Leads to Arrests and Court Outcome in Bodmin

Proactive policing by Bodmin Police this week has led to address closures, the arrest of a wanted man, and a conviction following a breach in Bodmin town centre.

Safeguarding Tenants From Cuckooing

The Bodmin Neighbourhood Team obtained two partial closures on addresses in Bodmin. The action was taken to safeguard tenants from cuckooing and to allow officers time to work with housing.

Wanted Man Found After Door Forced

Officers also located a male wanted on warrant for exposure. After he refused to open the door to officers, the front door was removed. He was then found hiding in his bedroom.

Arrest After Breach in Town Centre

Yesterday, police received reports of Darren TOMKISS breaching his Criminal Behaviour Order in Bodmin town centre. Darren was located by Street Marshalls, who captured evidence of the breach using body worn video cameras. That evidence was used to confirm his identity.

Officers later located and arrested Darren on Cross Lane in Bodmin. While in custody, a quantity of Class A drugs was found in his possession.

Court Outcome

Darren appeared at Bodmin Magistrates Court this morning, where he was found guilty of both offences.
