Free Parking and Special Offers Available in Camborne Town Centre

Businesses in Camborne are encouraging people into the town centre by making the most of one hour of free parking while highway improvement works are underway.

The free parking is available at Rosewarne car parks for the duration of the works, alongside a range of discounts and special offers from local shops and venues.

Why the work is happening

The improvements form part of the Camborne Town Deal’s Renew project, a government funded transport scheme aimed at improving the look of the town centre, making it easier for pedestrians and cyclists to get around, and supporting the local economy by attracting more visitors.

The work is being carried out by Cormac. It began in November and is expected to be completed by the end of May.

Planned changes include new seating and planted greenery, a new zebra crossing in Fore Street, paving repairs in Commercial Square, enhanced lighting and CCTV, additional cycle parking and road resurfacing.

Discounts and offers in town

Alongside the free parking, a number of Camborne businesses are offering discounts.

Shoppers can find 50% off marked prices at Up Memory Lane Interiors and A Darn Good Yarn, while Jojangles gift shop is offering 25% off.

Other offers include weekly craft classes at Delight2Bite, a free hot drink with each order from the specials menu at Scallywags Café, new monthly meditation workshops at Ekam Yoga Studio, and a 10% discount on Create CIC’s new silver clay classes when all four sessions are booked together.

Businesses open as usual

Anna Pascoe, BID Camborne Manager, said: “Camborne has a lot going on and it’s all feeling very positive.

“Road works can be disruptive, but businesses are open as usual and free parking, plus excellent bargains, are a very good reason to shop here.”
