A Night With a TV Antiques Star at a Cornish Riverside Hotel

Budock Vean Hotel & Spa has announced a one night Antiques Break featuring TV antiques expert Paul Martin, set to take place on 27th March 2026.

The event will be held at the hotel’s riverside location on the banks of the Helford River and includes an evening talk and Q&A with Paul, best known as the long running presenter of Flog It!.

Evening Talk and Dinner

Guests staying overnight will enjoy a relaxed three course dinner in the Helford Restaurant before gathering for an intimate talk and Q&A. During the evening, Paul will share stories and insights from his book My World of Antiques. Each guest will also receive a signed copy of the book to take home.

Paul has presented Flog It! for more than 20 years and has appeared on Antiques Road Trip, Celebrity Antiques Road Trip and Channel 5’s Paul Martin’s Antiques Showdown. His career has seen him travel across the UK uncovering objects and the craftspeople behind them.

What’s Included in the Antiques Break

The one night Antiques Break includes:

The overnight stay with evening talk and dinner is priced from £229 per room, based on two people sharing.

Afternoon Tea and Antiques Valuation Event

An additional Afternoon Tea and Antiques Valuation event will also take place on 27th March and is open to guests arriving early as well as day visitors.

From 11am to 3pm, Paul will offer personal valuations on antiques, heirlooms and curiosities, sharing expert insights and historical context. Afternoon tea will be served in the relaxed surroundings of Budock Vean, with confirmed tea times between 12pm and 4pm.

Tickets for the Afternoon Tea and Valuation event are £30 per person.
