New Water Refill Station to Be Installed at Watergate Bay

A new water refill station is set to be installed at Watergate Bay later this month as part of ongoing work to cut down on single use plastic across Cornwall.

Our Only World, a small Cornwall based charity focused on protecting and restoring the oceans, will begin work on the latest installation shortly. The unit will be located by the accessible cubicle.

Expanding Across Cornwall

Our Only World works on projects designed to reduce single use plastic. The charity has already installed 20 water refill stations across Cornwall.

The Watergate Bay installation continues its partnership with Newquay Town Council.

Tina Robinson, Founder of Our Only World, said:

“We are pleased to continue our partnership with Newquay Town Council and are proud to sponsor and install a water refill station at Watergate Bay. Over the lifetime of this unit, we hope to prevent approximately a quarter of a million single-use plastic bottles from entering the environment.”
