Truro BID to Host City Clean Up 2026 in March

Could You Spare Just One Hour? Truro’s City Clean Up 2026 Is Calling

Businesses and community groups in Truro are being invited to roll up their sleeves next month as the city prepares for City Clean Up 2026.

Truro BID, in conjunction with Newham BID, will host the ninth City Clean Up on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 March.

The aim is simple. Encourage as many businesses and organisations as possible to volunteer an hour, or whatever time they can spare, to help clean and tidy the city.

Litter Picks Across the City

As part of the event, local community volunteer Paul Caruana is organising litter picks in Truro’s surrounding neighbourhoods.

Damien Richards, Community Development Officer at Truro City Council, will also be inviting community groups to take part.

The focus is on getting as many people involved as possible, whether that means heading out for a litter pick, washing signs or cutting away old cable ties.

Businesses Invited to Take Part

Truro businesses interested in joining the City Centre clean up on Friday 13 March are being asked to email [email protected] as soon as possible and no later than Friday 28 February.

Participants will be asked to give an hour of their time to help with sign washing, cable tie cutting or litter picking.

All equipment will be provided, including high visibility vests, gloves, bags and litter sticks, thanks to Clean Cornwall.

City Clean Up 2026 marks the ninth time the event has been held, with organisers once again encouraging the city’s businesses and community groups to play their part in keeping Truro looking its best.
