Callington Town Council Launches Mural Art Competition

Could Your Artwork End Up on a Callington Wall? Artists Invited to Enter New Mural Competition

Callington Town Council has announced it is once again hosting an art competition to create a mural that will be installed on the wall above Paperphils on New Road, opposite Bradleys Estate Agents.

The competition is open to both professional and amateur artists, with organisers encouraging creatives to put their ideas forward.

No Theme, Just Imagination

There is no set theme for the mural.

As the council states:

“🎨 Calling All Artists, Professionals & Amateurs! 🎨
Callington Town Council is once again hosting an art competition to create a mural that will be installed on the wall above Paperphils on New Road, opposite Bradleys Estate Agents.”

“🎭 No theme , let your imagination run free!”

The closing date for entries is 28th February 2026, giving artists just over a week to submit their designs.

How to Enter

Artists are asked to design their mural on an A4 piece of paper and write their name and contact details on the back.

Entries can be submitted in one of two ways:

All entries will be judged by a panel chaired by the Mayor and Portreeve.

Winning artists will receive funding for paints and boards to create their final murals.

The council is encouraging people to get involved and help brighten the town with their ideas.
