Heavy Rain to Hit Cornwall Before Brighter Spells Return
Rain is set to sweep across the South West today, Friday 20th February, with heavy downpours expected at times before conditions turn brighter later on.
According to the latest forecast covering Friday 20th to Tuesday 24th February, the region will see a mix of rain, cloud and occasional brighter spells over the coming days, along with breezy and very mild conditions.

Friday 20th February
It will be mostly cloudy to start the day, with further spells of rain pushing in from the west. The rain is expected to turn heavy at times, particularly over the moors during the morning.
Behind the rain, conditions will become drier with the odd shower and some brighter spells developing. It will feel mild and breezy, with a maximum temperature of 13°C.
Tonight
Any showers will gradually ease through the evening. It will turn cloudier again overnight, with a few spots of drizzle over the moors, although most places are expected to remain dry.
It will stay breezy, with temperatures holding up. The minimum temperature is forecast to be 8°C.
Saturday 21st February
Saturday is expected to be cloudy, with patchy drizzle during the morning and occasional brighter interludes. More rain is set to arrive during the afternoon.
Conditions will remain breezy and very mild, with a maximum temperature of 13°C.

The unsettled pattern looks set to continue into next week.
From Sunday 22nd through to Tuesday 24th February, the weather is expected to remain changeable, with spells of rain and showers. Drier interludes are likely at times, although it will often be cloudy.
It will stay very mild, with strong winds possible at times.
