Spring-Like Sunshine Before More Rain Hits the South West
Residents across the South West can expect a mixed but mild spell of weather over the coming days, with heavy rain giving way to brighter skies before further unsettled conditions return later in the week.

Sunday 22nd February
It has been a wet and, in places, murky start to Sunday, with periods of heavy rain moving through the region. However, conditions are set to improve as the day goes on.
The rain will gradually clear away, allowing brighter spells to develop. It will turn very mild, with a spring-like feel in any sunshine. Winds will also ease through the day. Maximum temperatures are expected to reach 15°C.
Sunday Night
Tonight will be largely dry, although there is the chance of the odd shower towards the north and west of the region. Some clear spells are expected.
It will remain breezy and mild overnight, with minimum temperatures around 8°C.
Monday 23rd February
Monday will begin on a brighter note, particularly in eastern parts of the South West. However, cloud is expected to build through the morning.
Outbreaks of rain are likely to arrive by lunchtime, with the afternoon staying rather cloudy and damp. Despite this, it will remain mild, with maximum temperatures reaching 13°C.

Tuesday 24th February to Thursday 26th February
Looking further ahead, Tuesday is expected to be mostly dry but cloudy.
Brighter conditions are forecast for Wednesday, with spells of sunshine developing. It will become very mild for a time.
Cloud is set to increase again on Thursday, with the possibility of some rain returning.
Overall, the region will remain changeable but mild through to Thursday 26th February.
