Warrant Led by Neighbourhood Team

The warrant was led by the Camborne Neighbourhood Police Team, supported by the Force Support Group, the Drugs Focus Desk and the dog unit.

Police Inspector Lou Brown, who heads up the neighbourhood police team in Camborne, said: “The negative impact of drugs can be far reaching in our communities, so it’s positive that we’ve been able to take these substances off the streets of Camborne.

“This activity forms part of our ongoing commitment to tackle drug related crime in the town.”

Lou added: “I’d like to urge anyone who has any information about illegal activity to report it directly to the police or anonymously via Crimestoppers.

“The more you tell us about crime happening on your streets, the more arrests and targeted operations we can plan to tackle it, as well as safeguard vulnerable people who are impacted by crime. Thank you.”

Reminder About Methadone

Police have also reminded the public that methadone should only be taken by the person it is legally prescribed to. If it is sold on, it is then classed as a Class A drug and can result in prosecution.

Information about suspicious activity can be reported directly to Devon & Cornwall Police or by calling 101. In an emergency, call 999.

Information can also be passed 100% anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555111 or via their website.
