Brace Yourself: Wind And Heavy Rain To Hit South West
An unsettled spell of weather is set to mark the start of Spring across the South West, with rain, strong winds and the risk of coastal gales forecast over the coming days.
From Sunday 1st March through to Thursday 5th March, conditions are expected to vary, with some brighter interludes later in the week.

Sunday 1st March
The first day of Spring begins on a wet note. Outbreaks of rain are expected through the morning, heaviest and most persistent over the moors.
Conditions should turn somewhat drier and brighter into the afternoon, although drizzle may linger in places.
It will also be windy, particularly around coasts. Maximum temperatures are forecast to reach 12 °C.
Sunday Night
A windy evening is expected, with a risk of coastal gales. Skies will often be cloudy, with further spells of rain moving into the far west during the early hours of Monday.
Winds are set to become lighter by dawn. It will remain mild overnight, with temperatures dipping to a minimum of 9 °C.
Monday 2nd March
The unsettled conditions continue into the new week. Rain is forecast to sweep eastwards across all areas, heavy at times over hills.
Winds are expected to ease through the day, and it will remain mild for the time of year. Maximum temperatures are set to reach 13 °C.

Tuesday 3rd March To Thursday 5th March
Tuesday is forecast to be cloudy with some patchy rain.
A change is expected on Wednesday, with drier and brighter conditions developing.
Thursday is set to be dry, although further rain is possible later. It should feel pleasant in any sunny spells.
While the week begins with wet and windy conditions, there are signs of brighter weather as it progresses, offering a more settled end to the period.
