South West Set for Sunny Spell Before Rain Returns

South West England is set for a largely dry and bright stretch of weather over the coming days, with sunny spells and rising temperatures before rain arrives later in the week.

Tuesday 3rd March

Today will be dry for many, with sunny spells developing across the region. There is a chance of the odd light shower, particularly during the morning, where cloud may be thick enough to bring some patchy rain.

It will feel a little fresher than Monday, with a maximum temperature of 13°C.

Overnight Into Wednesday

Tonight is expected to stay largely dry, with a mix of cloud and clear spells. It will turn chilly in areas that see prolonged clear skies, and there is the possibility of some patchy mist and fog forming.

Temperatures are forecast to dip to a minimum of 2°C.

Wednesday 4th March

Wednesday will remain dry, with a mix of cloud and sunny spells through the day. Sunshine is expected to increase during the afternoon, helping it feel warmer, particularly away from the south coast.

Maximum temperatures are set to reach 16°C.

Outlook for Thursday 5th to Saturday 7th March

Thursday will be largely dry and bright at first, though rain is expected to arrive later in the day.

High pressure is then forecast to build back in from Friday, bringing plenty of dry and bright weather into the start of the weekend. However, temperatures are expected to return to nearer average levels.
