Spring Sunshine Before the Weekend Turns?

A mild spell is set to bring a welcome taste of spring across the South West over the next couple of days, with sunshine and temperatures reaching up to 16°C.

Wednesday 4th March

Mist and fog will clear through the morning, although low cloud may linger along southern coasts during Wednesday.

For most areas, it will be a dry day with an increasing amount of pleasant spring sunshine developing. It is expected to feel mild, with just a slight breeze.

Maximum temperature 16°C.

Tonight

Conditions will stay dry this evening and overnight, with prolonged clear spells for most.

Patchy mist and fog will reform, although it is expected to be more isolated than the previous night. A strengthening breeze is forecast around the Moors.

Minimum temperature 5°C.

Thursday 5th March

Some sunshine is possible in the east, where it will feel very mild.

In the west, temperatures will be slightly suppressed as cloud thickens ahead of rain arriving later in the day.

Maximum temperature 16°C.

Outlook for Friday 6th March to Sunday 8th March

Temperatures are expected to drop nearer to average towards the end of the week.

There may be some bright spells in the west on Friday, but cloud is generally set to build into the weekend, with patchy rain possible.

After a mild midweek break, it looks as though more unsettled conditions could edge back in as the weekend approaches.
