Cornwall to See Warm Sunshine Before Rain Moves In
A spell of warm sunshine is expected across parts of the South West today, Thursday 5th March, before rain gradually moves in from the west later in the day.
The latest forecast covering Thursday 5th March to Monday 9th March suggests Cornwall will see a mix of sunshine, cloud and occasional rain over the coming days.

Warm Sunny Spells on Thursday
Any early mist and fog this morning is expected to lift, leaving warm sunny spells across much of the region. The brightest conditions are forecast further east, although sunshine should still be seen in Cornwall earlier in the day.
Cloud will slowly build from the west as the day goes on. Rain is expected to reach west Cornwall during the afternoon, with a few showers also developing in other areas.
Temperatures could reach a maximum of 16°C.
Rain Moving Across Tonight
During Thursday evening there may be some clear intervals in the east of the region. However, rain is forecast to edge across Cornwall before spreading into parts of Devon.
As the night continues, the rain is expected to extend further east across other areas. Temperatures are set to remain relatively mild overnight, with a minimum of around 6°C.
Brighter Skies Return on Friday
Friday morning is expected to start largely cloudy with the possibility of a few spots of rain.
Conditions should gradually brighten from the west during the afternoon, with Cornwall likely to see increasingly sunny spells later in the day. Despite the sunshine, it will feel cooler compared with Thursday.
Maximum temperatures are expected to reach around 11°C.

Outlook for the Weekend
Looking ahead to Saturday 7th March through to Monday 9th March, the forecast suggests a mix of conditions.
There may be occasional patchy rain or drizzle in places, although many areas are expected to stay mostly dry. It will often be cloudy, but there should be some breaks in the cloud at times allowing sunshine through.
Temperatures during this period are expected to be closer to average for the time of year.
