Entry-Level Downhill Race Set for Cotton Wood Near Bodmin
A Fun Downhill Race Near Bodmin Anyone Can Enter
Cyclists looking for a relaxed introduction to downhill racing will soon have the chance to take on the trails at Cotton Wood, near Bodmin.
Organised by The Cornwall Bicycle Project CIO, the event is designed as a super friendly and welcoming entry level downhill race. Riders of all abilities are invited to take part, whether they are trying their first race or simply want an enjoyable day riding through woodland trails.
The course will use a mix of flowing singletrack tracks through the woods at Cotton Wood, offering an approachable route that organisers say should be enjoyable for everyone taking part.

Event schedule
The day begins with registration at 8:30am.
A course walk will take place from 8:30am to 9:30am, giving riders the chance to familiarise themselves with the route before practice begins.
Practice runs are scheduled from 9:30am until 12:00pm, and all riders must complete a minimum of two runs during this time.
The timed race runs will start at 12:30pm. Each rider will complete two timed runs, with their fastest time counting towards the results.
Podiums will be held once all race runs have been completed.
Venue and parking
The race will take place at Cotton Wood, Oak Lodge, Nanstallon, Cornwall, PL30 5LQ.
Ample parking is available across the road from the venue. Organisers have also stated that dogs are strictly not allowed.
