Bodmin Tidy It Team Collects 27 Bags of Waste During Litter Pick

Bodmin Litter Pick Sees 27 Bags Collected as Team’s Total Hits 356

Bodmin Tidy It Team were out again keeping the town looking its best, collecting a large amount of rubbish during their latest litter pick near Sainsbury’s car park.

The hardworking group gathered 16 bags of rubbish and 11 bags of recycling, along with a pile of items that had spread out from the car park area. Their latest efforts bring the team’s running total to 356.

Volunteers Join the Effort

A number of volunteers took part in the clean-up, with thanks given to Jo, who joined the group for the morning.

Other volunteers involved included Ash, Paul, Trish, Sue, Max, Steve, Tom, Jeremy, Nigel, Jenny, Ed and Linda.

A special thanks was also given to Gary, who stepped away from litter picking duties to clean one volunteer’s car during the morning.

Support From Local Organisations

The team also thanked Clean Cornwall and Biffa for removing the collected rubbish after the event.

Join the Next Clean-Up

The group is encouraging more people to get involved as The Great British Spring Clean runs from 13th March to 29th March.

The next Bodmin Tidy It Team litter pick will take place on Wednesday 18th March, with volunteers meeting at the top of Berry Lane at 9.45am.

The team says joining in “feels great to make a difference to our town and the environment.”
