Stolen Pony Alert: Missing Shetland Sparks Urgent Appeal

Police are asking the public to help locate a missing Shetland pony after concerns were raised that she may have been stolen from moorland in North Cornwall.

Molly, a 10 year old grey Shetland pony, has been reported missing from Davidstow Moor near Launceston. According to Devon & Cornwall Police Rural Affairs Team, her disappearance is described as out of character and her owners are extremely worried.

The pony was last seen grazing on the moor and has been missing since Friday 13th March 2026.

Police ask the public to stay alert

Devon & Cornwall Police are urging anyone who may be walking, driving or cycling in the area to keep a lookout for Molly. People working on farms or in nearby fields are also asked to remain vigilant.

Anyone who is offered a pony for sale and suspects it could be Molly is asked to contact police as soon as it is safe to do so.

What to do if you see Molly

If the pony is spotted, police have asked members of the public not to try to chase or catch her. Instead, they should keep a safe distance and report the sighting.
