Truro Classic Car Show Returns to City Centre on 2nd August
Classic Cars Set to Take Over Truro This August
Vehicle owners are being invited to showcase their prized automobiles when the Truro Classic Car Show returns to the city centre on Sunday 2nd August.
Organised by Truro BID, the event will see classic and vintage cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles displayed across Truro City Centre from 10.30am until 3.30pm. The show is free to attend and free for vehicle owners who wish to exhibit.
Now in its fourth year, the event offers visitors the chance to see a wide range of much-loved vehicles, mostly dating from the 1930s through to the 2000s.

Classic Vehicles Across the City
The Truro Classic Car Show is the only classic car show in Cornwall held in a city centre location. Vehicles will be displayed across different areas of the city, including Lemon Quay, to allow a wide range of exhibitors to take part.
Alongside the classic displays, visitors will also be able to see a selection of newer cars, browse automobilia and autojumble stalls, and enjoy live music throughout the day.
Alun Jones, Truro BID Manager, said:
“We are pleased to be bringing the Truro Classic Car Show back to the city for the fourth year. We are looking forward to transforming Truro with a static display of much-loved classic and vintage cars and motorcycles to attract residents and visitors into the city for the day. Classic or vintage vehicle owners are encouraged to apply now to exhibit at the show.”
How To Exhibit A Vehicle
Owners who would like to display a vehicle can apply online via the Truro BID website by completing the registration form, or by emailing [email protected].
Vehicles entered should generally be pre-year 2000, although newer vehicles may be considered if they are highly unusual and have a strong wow factor.
Travel and Parking
For those travelling into the city on the day, the Truro Park and Ride will run a regular shuttle bus service from the Tregurra site near Waitrose to the city centre.
The journey takes around six minutes. Passengers can buy day tickets using the Transport for Cornwall App, the legacy First Bus App, or directly from the driver.

The event is organised by Truro BID and sponsored by Coodes Solicitors.
Elise Alma from Coodes Solicitors said:
“This promises to be a great day out for classic car enthusiasts from across Cornwall and Coodes is delighted to be sponsoring this event once again. It will also be raising money for a very important cause, and we hope it attracts a lot of people to the city centre.”
During the event, Macmillan Cancer Support will be collecting voluntary donations.
