Warm Sunshine Returns… But Chilly Nights Could Catch You Out

A spell of warm sunshine is set to continue across South West England, with fine conditions expected through to the end of the working week.

Bright but chilly start on Thursday 19th March

Thursday begins on a cold note, with a chilly start and the chance of mist or fog early in the morning. Once that clears, the day is expected to turn fine, with warm spells of sunshine and light winds.

Temperatures are forecast to reach a maximum of 15°C.

Clear skies bring colder night

As skies clear overnight into Friday 20th March, light winds will allow temperatures to drop. Patchy mist and fog may develop in the early hours, along with a risk of frost.

The minimum temperature is expected to fall to around 2°C.

Sunshine continues into Friday

Friday is set to follow a similar pattern, starting cold with some mist and fog in places. Once this clears, there will be plenty of warm sunshine to round off the working week.

Daytime temperatures will again peak at around 15°C.

Outlook into the weekend

From Saturday 21st March through to Monday 23rd March, conditions are expected to remain largely dry with sunny spells at times.

However, there will be more cloud developing from Sunday onwards. It will also begin to feel cooler during the day, while nights are expected to remain fairly chilly.
