A dry and bright spell is expected to start the week across the South West, but conditions are set to turn more unsettled as the week goes on.

Dry and Bright Start on Monday 23rd March

Monday is forecast to begin on a dry note, with some bright or sunny spells developing through the morning.

Cloud is expected to increase gradually as the day progresses, although it should remain dry with light winds.

Temperatures are set to reach a maximum of 14°C.

Mild and Cloudy Overnight

Conditions will stay mostly dry overnight into Tuesday, with plenty of cloud around.

The cloud cover is expected to keep temperatures higher than recent nights, meaning it should feel less chilly and remain frost-free.

Minimum temperatures are forecast to be around 7°C.

Wind and Rain Moving In on Tuesday

Tuesday will bring a noticeable change in conditions.

Winds are expected to strengthen gradually through the day, becoming blustery by the afternoon.

Spells of rain are forecast to develop, turning heavier and more persistent later in the day.

Maximum temperatures will reach around 13°C.

Mixed Conditions Through the Rest of the Week

Looking ahead to Wednesday through to Friday, the weather is expected to remain changeable.

Wednesday will be brighter but colder, with blustery showers. These could turn wintry over higher ground.

Thursday is forecast to be drier and brighter, although it will stay chilly.

By Friday, rain is expected to return once again.
