Coodes Solicitors Supports Free Theatre Tickets at Falmouth Festival

A Cornwall law firm has helped open the doors to theatre for dozens of local families, supporting access to performances during this year’s Falmouth International Arts Festival.

Support Brings Free Tickets to Local Families

Coodes Solicitors supported the Falmouth International Arts Festival as a community sponsor, making a financial contribution to Impossible Producing.

The funding meant free tickets could be offered to 30 people per show across four performances. This included access to Shlomo’s Beatbox Adventure for Kids.

Tickets were allocated through local schools and organisations, allowing them to be distributed confidentially to families who would benefit most.

Making Theatre More Accessible

Rachel Pearce from Coodes Solicitors said:
“We believe access to the arts should never depend on income. Supporting community theatre initiatives helps children and families access the arts and provides opportunities to express their creativity, improves confidence and creates a sense of belonging. These are opportunities which should be open to everyone. We are proud to play our part in making theatre accessible to all.”

Creative Directors Gabby Vautier and Charlie Bunker from Impossible Producing added:
“We really wanted as many people as possible to see as many shows as possible this FIAfest 2026, but we know that the cost of living crisis has had a huge impact on families’ ability to access theatre – often considered to be a luxury.

“We’re so grateful to Coodes for enabling us to follow up on genuine requests for discounted tickets and work with local organisations to ensure we can spark a love of theatre in the next generation and ensure local people can engage in events on their doorstep.”

Inspiring the Next Generation

Following a sell-out run of The Creakers Musical in London, Impossible Producing also delivered a workshop linked to the show for 60 local primary school children.

Gabby added:
“We want to take every opportunity to engage the local community in our work and create opportunities to inspire the next generation.”

Coodes’ contribution has also secured the firm a place in the ‘Impossible Social Club’, a group of businesses supporting efforts to make the arts more accessible across Cornwall.
