Heavy Rain and Strong Winds Set to Hit South West This Week
A spell of unsettled weather is expected across the South West from Tuesday 24th March through to Saturday 28th March, with strengthening winds, heavy rain and colder conditions on the way.

A Blustery Turn on Tuesday
Tuesday is set to begin cloudy but mostly dry, although there may be occasional spots of light rain in some areas. Winds are expected to pick up steadily through the day, becoming rather blustery by the afternoon.
Outbreaks of rain will move in from the north later in the day, with temperatures reaching a maximum of 13°C.
Heavy Rain and Strong Winds Overnight
Conditions are expected to worsen into the evening, with heavy rain pushing in from the north alongside strong and blustery winds.
Rain will gradually clear to showers overnight, but it will turn noticeably colder, with temperatures dropping to around 3°C.
Showers, Hail and Possible Snow on Wednesday
Wednesday will bring brighter spells with some sunshine, but also blustery showers. These are expected to be heavy at times and could include hail and thunder.
There is also a chance of snow over the Moors. Temperatures will feel cold in brisk northerly winds, with a maximum of 9°C.

Mixed Conditions Towards the Weekend
Looking ahead to the rest of the week, Thursday is expected to see fewer showers, although conditions will remain cold.
Rain is forecast at times on Friday, before a mix of sunny spells returns on Saturday, with temperatures moving closer to average for the time of year.
