Cold Snap Hits Cornwall: Hail, Frost and Even Snow Possible
A spell of unsettled weather is set to sweep across the South West from Wednesday 25th March through to Sunday 29th March, bringing colder temperatures, brisk winds and a mix of sunshine and heavy showers.

Wednesday 25th March
The day is expected to be bright at times, with sunny intervals mixed with blustery showers. Some of these showers may turn heavy, with hail likely and even the chance of snow over higher ground on the Moors.
Temperatures will feel noticeably colder than recent days, especially in the wind, with a maximum of 9°C.
Wednesday Night
Showers will continue into the night before gradually easing towards dawn. Winds are also expected to drop.
Clearer spells may develop, leading to a chilly night with the possibility of frost, particularly in eastern areas. Temperatures could fall to around 1°C.
Thursday 26th March
Thursday will start on a brighter note, with sunny spells early on despite a cool feel.
Cloud will increase through the day, though conditions are expected to stay mostly dry until later in the evening when rain is forecast to arrive. Winds will be lighter compared to Wednesday, reducing the wind chill.
Maximum temperatures will reach around 10°C.

Outlook for Friday 27th March to Sunday 29th March
Friday is expected to turn dull and damp, with outbreaks of rain moving through. Conditions may briefly feel milder during this time.
Saturday brings a return to brighter weather, with sunny spells and blustery showers.
Further rain is possible on Sunday, continuing the unsettled pattern into the end of the weekend.
Overall, the week ahead looks mixed, with a noticeable dip in temperatures compared to recent days and a combination of sunshine, showers and occasional rain.
