Gas Cylinder Found Washed Ashore at Trevone Bay

Mystery Cylinder Sparks Coastguard Call at Trevone Bay
HM Coastguard Padstow was called to Trevone Bay on the morning of Friday 27th March after reports of a gas cylinder washing ashore.
Early Morning Tasking
At 0848hrs, the team received a tasking to Trevone Beach following concerns about the object on the shoreline. Once on scene, team members located the item and identified it as a welding gas cylinder.
Assessed and Made Safe
Photos of the cylinder were sent to relevant HM Coastguard full-time officers for inspection. After reviewing the images, clearance was given for the team to move the cylinder to a safe location.
Cornwall Council was then contacted to arrange collection of the item.

Team Stood Down
The incident was brought to a close at around 0930hrs, when the team was stood down.
