Court Appearance and Sentence
Aidan Parkyn, aged 29, of Kenwyn Street, appeared at Truro Magistrates Court earlier this month. He admitted stealing more than £600 worth of goods from shops in Truro on six occasions between October 2025 and February 2026.
Parkyn was sentenced to 36 weeks in prison. He was also made subject to a criminal behaviour order.
Ban From 45 Businesses
The criminal behaviour order means Parkyn is banned from stepping foot inside 45 businesses in Truro once he is released.
Police said his repeated offending had a significant impact on local businesses.
Police Message
Truro, Perranporth and Tregony Police said they hope the sentencing sends a clear message that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated in Truro.
They also urged the public to continue reporting incidents, adding that information from the community is key to helping officers identify offenders.
