Free Ice Cream Giveaway at Watergate Bay on 2nd April

Beachgoers in Cornwall are being offered the chance to pick up a free ice cream this week as WAX Whippies reopens at Watergate Bay.

The giveaway takes place on Thursday 2nd April, when 200 free “Whippies” will be handed out from 12pm, just as the Easter half term begins.

First come, first served

The offer is available on a first come, first served basis, with no booking required. Visitors are being advised to arrive early, as all 200 ice creams are expected to be claimed quickly if the weather holds.

The giveaway will run from 12pm until 8pm, or until all portions are gone.

A popular beachside treat

WAX Whippies has become a regular stop for families, beachgoers and those looking for a quick sweet treat at Watergate Bay.

Their “Whippies” are soft serve trays topped with sauces, extras and toppings, designed to be indulgent and suited to a day at the beach.

A spokesperson for WAX said:
“We wanted to kick things off properly this year and give something back, so we’re giving away 200 free Whippies. It’s the perfect excuse to get down to the beach.”
