CSIA Riders Achieve Strong Results at Cornish Show Jumping Competition

Students from Camborne Science & International Academy (CSIA), part of Athena Learning Trust, delivered an impressive set of results at the recent Cornish Schools & Colleges Team Show Jumping Competition.

Hosted by the Western Pony Club at Pendarves Equestrian Centre, the event brought together riders from across the region to compete in both Open and Novice sections, with CSIA achieving success across multiple classes.

Open Section Success

In the Open classes, Eleanor N riding Keeva secured first place in the 95cm to 1m class with a double clear in a fast time. Amber J, riding Sunny, also took top spot in the 80 to 85cm class with another double clear.

Lexie R on Sir Inca Jay finished second following a close round, while Evie J riding Finn placed sixth.

These results helped CSIA claim first place in the Open Section team competition. The team also topped the Best Presented category, completing a clean sweep of the Open Section titles.

Strong Showing in Novice Classes

In the Novice section, Daisy H riding Dudley achieved first place in the 60 to 65cm class with a double clear. Isla M, riding Shadow, finished sixth, while the Novice team placed fourth overall.

The school also recorded fifth and sixth place finishes in the Best Presented category.

Looking Ahead to Nationals

The results highlight the continued strength of the school’s equestrian programme, with riders performing well across a range of levels.

The team is now preparing for the National Championships at Hickstead in May, where CSIA riders will compete against top talent from across the country in both show jumping and eventing disciplines.
