Storm Dave Set to Hit Tonight Before Easter Weather Twist

Residents across South West England can expect a changeable few days of weather, with strong winds arriving tonight before a mixed Easter weekend and a warmer start to next week.

Saturday 4th April

The day will begin dry with some bright spells, particularly in eastern areas. However, conditions will turn increasingly cloudy and windy through the afternoon, with the chance of a few spots of rain.

Temperatures are expected to reach a maximum of 15°C, feeling mild where sunshine breaks through.

Storm Dave Arrives Overnight

Tonight, Storm Dave is set to bring strong winds along with heavy and blustery spells of rain at times. The unsettled conditions are expected to move through during the night, clearing in the early hours as winds begin to ease.

Temperatures will drop to a minimum of 6°C.

Easter Sunday Brings Sunshine and Showers

Sunday 5th April will see a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers across the region. Winds will be lighter compared to Saturday, but it will feel noticeably colder, with a fresh breeze.

Maximum temperatures are expected to reach 12°C.

Outlook for Early Next Week

Looking ahead to Monday through Wednesday, conditions are expected to settle. Monday and Tuesday will be dry with good sunny spells, and temperatures will gradually rise.

Wednesday is likely to remain dry, although cloud will increase and it will turn less warm.
