Road Rage at Busy Truro Junction Leaves Driver Shaken

Police are appealing for witnesses after a road rage incident in Truro that led to damage to a vehicle.

Incident at Traffic Lights

The incident took place at around 9.20am on 20th March at the traffic lights near Newquay Road Retail Park.

Officers say two drivers were involved in a confrontation at the junction of A39 Newquay Road and Tregolls Road, close to the Dunelm store.

What Happened

The situation is reported to have started earlier, with a silver BMW allegedly being driven aggressively towards a woman in a silver Mercedes on the A30 and A39.

Both vehicles later stopped at the traffic lights, where the incident escalated.

A man got out of the BMW and the woman was subjected to verbal abuse. Her car door was then scratched with a car key, causing around £350 worth of damage.

Police Appeal for Information

Officers are continuing their investigation and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have captured it on dashcam or mobile phone, to come forward.
