Police Appeal After Cash Machine Theft in Bude

Police in Bude are appealing for information after cash was stolen from machines outside a supermarket in the early hours of Thursday 9th April.

Officers were called at around 1am following reports of an alarm activation at Morrison’s on Stucley Road.

Entry Forced Into Machines

It is believed that tools were used to force entry into the cash machines located outside the store. Police have confirmed that cash was taken during the incident.

Blue Car Linked to Incident

At this stage of the investigation, officers believe a blue car may be involved. Work is ongoing to establish the make and model of the vehicle.

Appeal for Witnesses and Footage

Police say they are in the early stages of their investigation and are working to establish the full circumstances.

They are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious behaviour or vehicles in the area around the time of the incident to come forward. Residents are also being urged to check any dash-cam or doorbell footage recorded overnight.

The Public Enquiry Office at Bude Police Station is open from 10am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, for those who wish to report information in person.
