Big Decisions Ahead: Penzance Residents Invited to Have Their Say

Residents across Penzance are being invited to attend an upcoming public meeting that will look at current projects and future plans for the parish.

Organised by Penzance Council, the Annual Town Meeting will take place at St John’s Hall on Monday 20th April 2026 at 7:00pm. The event will provide updates on key areas of work and give those attending the chance to ask questions directly.

Updates on Key Projects

This year’s meeting will include contributions from Penzance BID and Jubilee Pool, with updates on the town centre and the well-known saltwater lido.

Other topics set to be covered include anti-social behaviour, Penzance’s bid for UK Town of Culture, the new Coach House Café, and Penzance Council’s budget for 2026/27.

Focus on Coastal Resilience

Following disruption caused by Storm Goretti and other recent storms, a representative from Cornwall Council will also give a presentation on the Mounts Bay Coastal Resilience Strategy.

This will outline plans aimed at addressing coastal challenges in the area.

Opportunity to Ask Questions

The Annual Town Meeting offers residents a chance to hear about the work carried out by Penzance Council over the past year, as well as plans moving forward.

There will also be a Q&A session after the presentations, allowing members of the public to raise matters directly.

Residents from across Penzance Parish, including Newlyn, Mousehole, Paul, Heamoor, Gulval and Eastern Green, can submit questions in advance by emailing [email protected] or ask them during the meeting.
