Part of a Wider Investment

The soft play forms part of a development worth more than £455,000. The investment also includes a new café and a relocated reception area, adding to the range of facilities available at the leisure centre.

Operated under the Better brand, GLL runs Liskeard Leisure Centre on behalf of Cornwall Council as a not-for-profit social enterprise.

Features Designed for Younger Visitors

The new soft play area includes a range of equipment aimed at children up to the age of ten. Among the main attractions are a twin lane slide designed for racing, a zigzag bridge to help build balance and coordination, and revolving doors to add an element of exploration.

There is also a dedicated section for children under two. This space includes a mirror maze, a spinner run to encourage movement, and soft hanging features designed for reaching and play.

Strong Early Demand

Brett Price, General Manager, said: “Our soft play is proving very popular, and we’re delighted with the large number of bookings taken so far. We can also do birthday parties with kids enjoying 60 minutes in soft play, followed by 45 minutes in a designated party room.”

“It’s a significant development and a great addition to the services we offer at Liskeard.”
