The Sunny Week Cornwall Didn’t Know It Needed
Cornwall and the wider South West is in for a treat this week, with a run of warm, sunny days on the way after a blustery start on Wednesday.
Wednesday’s winds give wayX to warmth
Today is the rough bit to get through. Strong winds are battering the region, with gales possible near exposed coasts and hills. There is a chance of showers creeping in from the far west, and sunshine is turning hazier as cloud builds through the day. Temperatures will reach a maximum of 18°C.
Tonight should be calmer in feel, with a mostly clear night expected. Higher cloud will drift into the west of the region, but it will stay dry. Gusty winds will linger along coasts and high ground, with temperatures dropping to a minimum of 1°C overnight.
Thursday looks the pick of the week
Thursday is shaping up to be a cracking day. Bright sunshine is forecast across the whole region, though it may appear hazy for many, particularly in the west. Winds will remain gusty over the high ground of Devon and Cornwall, but temperatures are expected to climb to a maximum of 22°C.

A warm weekend ahead
The good news carries into the weekend. Friday and Saturday look warm and sunny with light winds. Sunday brings a little more cloud, which will nudge temperatures down slightly, but it is still expected to be a pleasant end to the week.
In short, if you have been waiting for an excuse to get out and enjoy Cornwall, this week is a good one to do it.
