Police appeal after man taken to Penzance hospital with serious injuries

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after two unknown individuals dropped him off at a casualty department in Penzance and vanished, leaving detectives scrambling for answers.

The man, who is in his 30s, was brought to West Cornwall Hospital shortly after 10pm on Wednesday 22nd April with serious head and facial injuries. The two people who brought him in left without being identified, and police are now urgently trying to trace them.

He has since been transferred to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth with what officers describe as potentially life-threatening injuries.

What Do Police Know?

Detectives believe the man was assaulted, though the full circumstances of how he came to sustain his injuries remain unclear. A number of enquiries are currently underway, including a review of CCTV footage in the area, as officers work to piece together what happened.

Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing to the public for help. Officers are particularly keen to speak with the two individuals who drove the injured man to hospital, urging them to come forward.
