Cornwall Set for Warm Spell as April Closes with Sunshine and Light Winds

Anyone planning a trip to the coast or a garden tidy-up over the next few days is in luck. Cornwall and the wider South West are heading into a stretch of fine, dry weather to round off April, with temperatures climbing into the low twenties.

Sunday and into the night

Today starts off bright once any early mist and fog burns away, with sunny spells through the morning. Cloud may build as the day goes on, turning the sunshine hazy by the afternoon. Light winds and a maximum of 20°C should make it feel pleasantly warm.

Overnight stays dry with a mix of cloud and clear breaks. Where skies clear, things turn chilly quickly, with the odd patch of mist and fog forming. The temperature could dip as low as 1°C.

Monday looks like the pick of the week. After any early mist clears, expect a fine and dry day with plenty of sunshine, light breezes and a top temperature of 21°C.

The rest of the week

The settled theme carries on from Tuesday through to Thursday, with sunny spells and dry conditions seeing out the month. It will feel warm at first, though winds are due to strengthen by Wednesday, taking the edge off the warmth slightly.
