Why Cornish Company Reckons Dad Wants a Pasty Over Socks This Father’s Day

Published On: 6 May 2026Last Updated: 6 May 2026By

Forget the novelty socks and the “World’s Best Dad” mug. A Cornish food producer has launched a Father’s Day range built around one rather cheeky idea, and the timing might be spot on given a recent surge in online searches.

New data from Google Trends shows a 9,800% spike in searches for “Father’s Day gifts” over the past month, and The Cornish Company has stepped in with what it’s calling the ultimate “DILF” gift guide. That’s “Dad I’d Like to Feed”, in case you were wondering.

A Cheeky Twist on the Usual Gift Guide

The Fathers Day collection leans into the well-worn idea that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Available now, the Father’s Day range features locally-made Cornish delicacies aimed at every kind of dad, from the savoury-loving to the sweet-toothed.

Tom Woodley, Managing Director and Co-founder at The Cornish Company, said: “Let’s face it, most Dads would trade a pair of novelty socks for a giant steak pasty and a cold beer in a heartbeat. At The Cornish Company, we’ve always believed that you don’t need to overcomplicate the ‘perfect’ gift; the most authentic way to show appreciation is through great food.”

Tom added: “Our Father’s Day range is about stripping away the usual clichés and gifting guesswork. We’ve focused on things we know actually hit the spot, like our signature steak pasties and locally brewed ales. Whether he’s into a traditional cream tea or a crisp Cornish cider, our goal is to ensure every father figure feels well-fed and properly celebrated. It’s about giving Dad a genuine moment to put his feet up and enjoy a quality experience delivered straight to his door.”

What’s in the Range

The Father’s Day “Feed” lineup includes:

The headline product is a Giant “DAD” Steak Pasty, sitting alongside savoury sausage rolls, Cornish ales and ciders, the classic “pasty and a pint” combination, and signature Cornish cream teas for those with a sweeter tooth.

The company is offering next-day delivery on the range, which it says will keep everything fresh on arrival.
