Adam Handling’s Newquay Food Festival Returns
Last October, more than 2,000 people descended on a 400-year-old pub tucked away in the Cornish forest. This June, the team behind it reckons they can do better.
The Adam Handling Collection (AHC) Food Festival is back at The Tartan Fox near Newquay for its second outing, running from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th June 2026. After the success of last autumn’s debut, chef Adam Handling MBE is scaling things up across three days of food, fire and live music at his luxury pub between Truro and Newquay.

What’s on the menu
The festival pulls together the full Adam Handling Collection under one roof, with dishes from Frog by Adam Handling, Ugly Butterfly, The Loch & the Tyne, The Tartan Fox and the Adam Handling Chocolate Shop all on offer.
Most plates are priced at £10 each. Expect The Loch & the Tyne’s Cheese Doughnuts, The Tartan Fox’s fried courgette flower with goat’s cheese, thyme and honey, and Michelin-starred Frog’s BBQ saddle of lamb with cauliflower puree, Jerusalem artichoke and capers. Ugly Butterfly’s steamed cod with white beans, lobster ragu and Ahrelia caviar comes in at £20. The team recommends three or four dishes per person to get a proper feel for the range.
The 1-PIN awarded Eve bar will be pouring signature cocktails, and the AH own label English sparkling wine stall will also be out in force.
The feasting nights
Friday 12th June kicks off at midday, with an Opening Night Lobster Feast in the pub’s tipi from 7pm at £76.50 per person. Feasting nights continue on Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 6pm, both priced at £56.50 per person. Tickets are available here.
Demos and masterclasses
The pub’s barn will host food demos and masterclasses across the weekend, all complimentary and run on a first come, first served basis.
Adam himself is hosting a three-course meal chef demo on each of the three days. Other sessions include Blind Wine Tastings with Kelvin McCabe and Exploring Cornwall’s Larder with Jamie Park. Paul Stradling, head chocolatier at the Adam Handling Chocolate Shop, will be among the team leads sharing tips on the Collection’s most-loved dishes.

For the kids
Fox Cub’s Corner is the children’s zone, with face painting, marshmallow toasting over the fire and enough going on that parents have been warned to expect requests to return the next day.
Live music runs throughout, including sets from local musician Josh Curnow and blues and folk musician Rhys ‘Grizzly’ Morgan.
Practical bits
The Tartan Fox remains open as normal for food and drinks across the festival weekend. Anyone wanting to make a proper weekend of it can book camping through Carvynick Holiday Park next door. Food and drink vouchers can be bought on the day and redeemed at any of the stalls.
The Tartan Fox sits at Carvynick Farm, just off the A3058 in Newquay, TR8 5AF. The Grade II listed pub opened in June 2024 and works to Adam’s zero-waste ethos using Cornish produce, a short drive from the Collection’s coastal restaurant Ugly Butterfly 2.0.
Festival hours are midday to 10:30pm on the Friday and Saturday, and midday to 9:30pm on the Sunday.
Anyone who can’t make June won’t miss out entirely. The Tartan Fox team is running feast nights on the first Friday of every month until the end of the year.
