Woman in 40s Seriously Injured After Car Hits Pedestrian on Union Hill, Truro

A woman in her 40s has been flown to a major trauma hospital after being hit by a car in the centre of Truro this morning, with police now asking anyone who saw what happened to come forward.

Emergency services were called to Union Hill at 10.40am on Thursday 14th May after a black Citroen DS3 was in collision with the pedestrian, who is from Truro. She was airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth with serious injuries.

Road closed for several hours

Roads policing officers shut Union Hill while they examined the scene and arranged for the car to be recovered. The road has since reopened to traffic.

Police appeal for witnesses

Officers want to hear from anyone who saw the collision or who was driving in the area with a dashcam running at the time.
