Detectives appeal for help identifying woman found in Camborne woods

Police have taken a new step in their effort to put a name to a woman whose body was discovered in woodland in Camborne earlier this month.

Detectives have released an e-fit image of the woman, hoping that someone who knew her will recognise her face and come forward. As yet, she remains unidentified.

What we know so far

At 7.45am on Sunday 3rd May, police received reports that a body had been found in the Pendarves Woods area of Camborne.

Since then, officers have been carrying out enquiries to try and establish who the woman was and the exact circumstances surrounding her death. Despite those efforts, she has still not been identified.

That is why investigating officers have now obtained an e-fit, so a likeness of the woman’s face can be made public.

The necklace that led nowhere

This is not the first appeal in the case. The Force previously released images of the front and back of a necklace found on the woman.

Information about that necklace did come in. But even with those details, the woman remains unidentified, which is what has prompted this fresh appeal.

What police say about her death

The death is being treated as unexplained but is not believed to be suspicious at this time.
