New Water Fountain Installed at Camelford Skate Park

Skaters in Camelford now have a new reason to stick around for that extra run.

A water fountain has been installed at the town’s skate park, the result of a partnership between Our Only World and Shane Metters, formerly of M&M Plumbing. Camelford Town Council confirmed the news in a recent update, thanking both parties for making it happen.

Part of a Bigger Picture

The fountain is one of many being rolled out across the country as part of a wider project aimed at restoring ocean health. The idea is straightforward. Cut down on single use plastic bottles, raise awareness, and give people an easy way to refill on the go.

For a skate park that draws regulars through the warmer months, it’s a useful addition.

Skate Park Given a Deep Clean

The fountain isn’t the only recent change. Eagle Plant Camelford supplied a jet washer and bowser free of charge last week, which the council used to give the park a thorough clean.

The result, according to CTC, is a site looking better than it has in some time.

A Word on the Heatwave

The council also used the update to remind residents and visitors to take care during the current heatwave. That means covering up, using skin protection, and keeping hydrated throughout the day.

Which, conveniently, is now a little easier to do at the skate park.
