Today
Tuesday 9th June brings a mix of sunshine and blustery showers. Those showers are expected to become more isolated and lighter through the afternoon, so the morning is likely to be the wettest part of the day. It should feel pleasant in the sun, though temperatures are sitting a little below average for the time of year. Expect it to be breezy near the coast. The maximum temperature is around 17°C.
Tonight
The showers become less frequent for a time into the evening, which gives a brief window of calmer weather. They return later in the night, and may merge to give longer spells of rain in the early hours. The minimum temperature drops to around 6°C, so it will feel chilly after dark.
Wednesday
Wednesday 10th June starts cloudy, with showers or longer spells of rain through the morning. It will feel cool for June. The maximum temperature is around 16°C.

The rest of the week
Thursday 11th June sees a spell of wet and windy weather move in across the region. Friday 12th June stays largely cloudy with patchy rain.
The turning point comes on Saturday 13th June, when high pressure starts to develop. That brings sunny spells and rising temperatures, finally pointing the week towards something more like summer.
