Cornwall Set for a Hotter Weekend After a Grey Start
Stick with the cloud. There is sunshine on the way. The week has started under a blanket of grey across the far west, but the forecast says it is worth holding on. By the weekend Cornwall is in line for real warmth, with temperatures climbing well above what June usually delivers.

Today and tonight
A grey start, with patchy drizzle towards the west. Skies brighten further east, while western areas hold onto plenty of cloud. It will feel warm and muggy again, with a maximum of 21°C.
Overnight the cloud stays in the west and clears in the east before thickening and lowering across the region. That brings some outbreaks of rain and drizzle at times. The minimum drops to 13°C.
Friday
Another cloudy and dull start, with the cloud breaking up in the east and lingering in the west. It will feel very warm in any sunshine and away from the coast, with a maximum of 22°C.
The weekend ahead
Things turn more settled as high pressure builds from the south. Saturday through Monday brings sunny spells and very warm conditions, with temperatures well above the June average.
