Mobility Scooter User Attacked Twice in Lostwithiel

Police are investigating two assaults on the same man in Lostwithiel on the same evening, with the second attack happening after the suspect appears to have waited for him further along his route.

What happened

Officers were told about the first assault at around 7.15pm on Tuesday 9 June. A man using a mobility scooter was on Grenville Road when the suspect pushed the scooter over, damaging it and injuring the man.

Two members of the public stopped to help him, and he carried on his way.

But when he reached Mill Hill, the same man was waiting for him and punched him several times.

The victim, who is in his 50s, was left with slight injuries that did not need hospital treatment.

The man police want to identify

The suspect has been described as a white man in his 20s, of average height and build.
