Snow Patrol Return to Eden Sessions, 20 Years On

Twenty years ago Snow Patrol walked out in front of the Biomes for the first time. Tonight they do it again, and every ticket has gone.

The Northern Irish alt-rock band play the Eden Sessions stage this evening, Thursday 18 June, two decades on from their first appearance there. It is part of the biggest Eden Sessions line-up yet, pulled together to mark Eden’s 25th anniversary.

A sold-out night for the Biomes

This year’s run of shows is the largest Eden has staged, and Snow Patrol’s return lands right in the middle of it. The band are known for a cinematic sound, emotive songwriting and live shows that fill a space like the Eden arena. Joining them as special guests are The Florentinas.

Two decades, eight albums

Snow Patrol are made up of Gary Lightbody, Nathan Connolly and Johnny McDaid. Across a career spanning eight studio albums, they rose to prominence with the five-times Platinum Final Straw and the era-defining Eyes Open, the record that gave the world Chasing Cars.

Their latest album, The Forest Is the Path, went to number one and carries on the band’s blend of wide, expansive soundscapes and heartfelt lyrics. Two decades in, they remain one of the UK’s most enduring guitar bands.

What time does it all start?

If you have got a ticket, here is how the evening runs. The arena opens at 6pm, The Florentinas take to the stage at 7.55pm, and Snow Patrol are on at 9pm. The night ends at 10.30pm. Timings may be subject to change.
