Cornwall weather set to turn warmer with 27°C by Sunday

Cornwall starts the weekend under grey skies, but the forecast is pointing towards warmer, brighter conditions that build over the coming days and settle in next week.

Saturday stays grey

Saturday is largely cloudy and breezy across Cornwall, with a few spots of light rain in the north of the county. It stays drier further east, though still mostly cloudy, and a few brighter spells are likely in those eastern areas where it will feel warm. The maximum temperature is around 24°C.

Overnight it stays cloudy, with some light rain and drizzle continuing over the hills. Elsewhere is drier, perhaps with a few clearer spells to the east. The minimum temperature drops to about 12°C.

Sunday is the day to watch

After a cloudy start, the cloud lifts and breaks up through the morning. Prolonged sunny spells then develop, with some warm sunshine through the afternoon. The maximum temperature reaches 27°C.

What next week holds

Next week begins dry, with increasing amounts of sunny spells. It stays largely dry across the region, with warm sunshine and lighter winds.
