Newquay seagull poster reworded to make one thing clear
A poster is about to land on the counters of businesses across Newquay, and the wording on it has just been changed. Newquay BID wants shopkeepers to help get the message across.

What’s changed
Newquay BID has revised the wording on its seagull awareness poster. The update makes clear that seagulls are a protected species and must be respected.
The ask to businesses
Alongside the poster, BID is asking businesses to help educate customers. The request is straightforward. Don’t feed the seagulls. Feeding them encourages the birds to scavenge, and they may begin taking food directly from people.
BID says working together protects both the wildlife and everyone’s enjoyment of Newquay.
How to get a poster
Businesses that want a copy of the poster can request one by emailing [email protected]. BID will be delivering posters to businesses over the next one to two weeks.
