St Merryn Maize Maze returns this summer with a hidden theme

The team behind St Merryn Maize Maze are keeping a secret. This year’s maze has a theme, and they are not saying what it is.

The maize maze and sunflower trail reopens for the summer on 29 July. It runs across 8 acres of maize and sunflower trails, with checkpoints to find as you work your way through the course. The organisers describe it as a day out for the whole family.

A theme kept under wraps

The one detail the team will not give away yet is the maze design. Each year the crop is cut into a shape or pattern, and this year’s is being kept quiet. “Can anyone guess what this year’s maze theme will be?” the announcement asked. A reveal has been promised soon.

Early bird family tickets closing

There is a limited window left on the early bird family discount tickets. The offer was flagged with a week to run at the start of July and closes on 15 July, so anyone wanting the cheaper family rate needs to move quickly. Tickets can be booked on the St Merryn Maize Maze website.

A working farm behind it

The maze is run on a farm, and the organisers say visiting supports local agriculture and family farming. According to them, the money from tickets helps keep the farm running.
