Cornwall bin collections start before 6am as heat alert extended
If your bin usually goes out on the morning of collection day, that habit could leave it sitting there uncollected this week. Cornwall Council has confirmed that early waste and recycling rounds are continuing, because the heat health alert has been extended.

What is changing
Waste and recycling crews are starting their rounds earlier than usual for the rest of this week. The change applies to collections on Monday 13 July, Tuesday 14 July and Wednesday 15 July.
What you need to do
Put your bins, bags and sacks out before 6am on your collection day. That applies to all three days covered by the alert extension.
Why crews are starting early
The earlier start is about keeping collection crews safe while they work through the hot weather. Cornwall Council thanked residents for helping with that, saying the earlier rounds are there to protect crews working in the heat.
