Where Cornwall’s speed cameras will be, 13 to 19 July

If you are driving anywhere in mid or east Cornwall over the next seven days, you will be sharing the road with speed detection officers every single day. Devon & Cornwall Police have published the areas their Road Safety Team will be focusing on this week, and Cornwall features in all of them.

The force says speed detection officers from the Road Safety Team will be working primarily in these areas:

Monday: West Cornwall, Mid Cornwall, East Cornwall, East Devon, West Devon

Tuesday: West Cornwall, Mid Cornwall, East Cornwall, Plymouth, Exeter, Mid Devon

Wednesday: West Cornwall, Mid Cornwall, East Cornwall, Plymouth, South Devon, North Devon, Teignbridge

Thursday: West Cornwall, Mid Cornwall, East Cornwall, Plymouth, Teignbridge, North Devon

Friday: Mid Cornwall, East Cornwall, Plymouth, East Devon, Mid Devon, Torbay

Saturday: Mid Cornwall, East Cornwall, East Devon, Exeter

Sunday: Mid Cornwall, East Cornwall, Exeter, Mid Devon, East Devon, North Devon

Cornwall is on the list every day

Mid Cornwall and East Cornwall appear on all seven days. West Cornwall drivers get a slightly easier run, with officers listed there from Monday through to Thursday before the focus shifts east for the weekend.

The areas are described as where officers will be working primarily, so they are not a guarantee of a van in any one spot, and they are not a promise that other roads will be left alone.

What it means if you are driving this week

The advice from the Road Safety Team is short and does not need much translating.

“Please drive carefully and within the speed limits wherever you are,” the force said.
