What happened
Officers were called at around 11pm on Monday 13 July to a single vehicle collision on the B3297 at Four Lanes, near Redruth. The vehicle involved was a Volkswagen Golf.
Emergency services attended. The driver, a local man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with injuries believed to be life-threatening.
No other vehicles are reported to have been involved.
The appeal
Police are appealing for witnesses and information. Anyone who saw the collision, or who has relevant information or dash-cam footage from the area, is asked to call 101 or report it online, quoting log 1044 of 13 July.
Dash-cam footage from drivers who passed along that stretch of the B3297 in the period before 11pm may be of particular use, even if nothing appeared out of the ordinary at the time.
The driver remains in hospital.
